Hey there. I feel like it's been forever since I posted something on the site. This newborn has got me tied around his little bitty finger; actually I should say he's wrapped around my boob the majority of the time. LOL - too much info huh ;-). Anyway, I actually managed to wash my hair two days ago (after two weeks of it being a matted mess) which was an accomplishment in itself. I had to plan it out a whole day in advance so that I was not interrupted during the process. I knew for a fact I wouldn't have time to deep condition as I normally do. Nor would I be able to do a prepoo treatment. My strategy was very simple to: shampoo, condition, and treat in a mere 30 minutes.
The day prior to my wash, I ventured off to CVS looking for the Aussie Moist conditioner (review to come later). While there, I spotted Renpure Organics' Amazing Miracle Deep Penetrating Reconstructor. If you recall, I reviewed their shampoo & conditioner a little while ago. I decided to pick up the Reconstructor because per the directions I only need between 3-5 minutes for this product to work its magic; an added bonus was it was 50% off its regular price. So, I paid $3.50 + it included a rebate. So, basically I was sold.
Moving on to the review....

My experience: After shampooing & conditioning with Renpure Organics Moisturizing shampoo & conditioner then detangling, I applied a generous amount of the Reconstructor to my hair, concentrating on the ends. Since my hair is pretty short (about 5 inches) I just left it on for about 3 minutes while I took care of my other 2000 parts. I rinsed out and my hair felt really soft and looked super coily. The reconstructor apparently had some type of effect on making my curls look more springy with a bit of shine. The moisturizing effect was definitely noticeable almost instantly and my hair really did feel a bit stronger.
Overall: For the price of this product, it's definitely worth it for me. I love a good deep conditioning treatment, and honestly I can never have too many. I liked that I could see immediate results with this and that its ingredients list is pretty impressive and it has no harsh sulfates, parabens, dyes, or colors. If you're looking to treat your hair to a good penetrating treatment this worked well on my natural coarse kinky hair and left it super soft and manageable.
