September Musings

How was everyone's long weekend?  Though it was LABOR day I hope that there was not much labor involved.   Sometimes my memory fails me on how particular holidays came to pass and it's interesting reading how this particular holiday came into effect.

I'm reading a new book - The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.  So far I'm in awe of the words that I'm reading.  Thanks to Jess for the recommendation.

I read this quote from Napoleon Hill this morning and I love it.

"Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit."
Lately, I've been in a blogging stupor.  So, apologies if the post are few and far between.  Hopefully, with the advent of the new season I can find some inspiration.  :)

Tell me, what you look forward to this Fall (if anything at all)?

What are you currently reading?

Share with me, one of your favorite quotes.

That book is a MUST READ. When i was around 18/19, they made us read that and we took a course to go with it. I couldnt fully appreciate it then and have read it once since. I also want to reread How to make friends and influence people, another must read. Currently i'm reading Wicked, the story about the wicked witch of the west :). I like underdog stories.

This fall, I'm "sharpening the saw" as usual. I'm really focusing on taking better care of myself. For obvious reasons, but also because i believe that if i allow myself to make myself a priority for a change, just maybe I'll feel more capable in everything else that I do. I'll let you know how it goes :)

I'll put the book you mentioned on my list to read also. I agree, this Fall I'm trying to make small improvements and set a few goals before the year ends also. We'll see how that goes. :)
