A little bit about your self?
I'm originally from Cameroon, West Africa, but New York City has been my home for over 14years. I'm an attorney by day and in the past year have enjoyed becoming a part of the blogging community.
How would you describe your style?
My style is easy going and laid back. I enjoy fashion and all but I would never sacrifice comfort or my budget for it. After all, you can't buy style.
Where do you look to for inspiration when it comes to your style?
These days I'm most inspired by fashion bloggers like glamourai, songofstyle and wheredidugetthat. But mostly, just walking around the city, real streetstyle is the best inspiration.
5 wardrobe essentials for women:
I'm all about underwear, so my first 2 would be, no pantylines undies, a good convertible/strapless bra, the other 3 would be, one pair of go with everything pumps, a well fitting pair of jeans and of course, a little hot dress (note- didn't say LBD- don't think it has to be black, but it has to be LITTLE)).
Advice for looking stylish on a budget:
I think the problem for most women is buying stuff just because its's on sale or buying items they like but don't love. If you have a limited budget, always ask yourself how much you need/want that item. Make sure it adds something new and different to your wardrobe. There's no need to be obsessed with designer labels, theres so much fun and great stuff in high street stores and use Etsy, Ebay , vintage shops etc.
What beauty items are in your makeup bag at all times?
Black Opal Concealer, Black Opal Invisible Oil Blocking Powder, a Kabuki brush, Eyebrow brush and Burt's Bees lip balm. (Yeah Black opal really matches my complexion and has been good on my skin, so I'm pretty loyal)
What does beauty mean to you?
Confidence - once you find it.
